Built for the markets Stripe won't take you in.

Oni-Pay places online businesses with acquiring banks across Asia, the Middle East and Africa — the merchants global platforms decline, delay, or price as cross-border. You get domestic rates, the payment methods your customers already use, and a second acquirer ready before you need one.

Applying takes about 10 minutes. You'll know which acquirers will take you within one business day.

What you get that you can't get by applying on your own

Acquiring in these markets is local. The bank that approves a Riyadh business won't touch a Lagos one, and the rates you're quoted depend on who introduced you.

Placed where you'll be approved

We know which acquirers take your business type in your country, so you apply once instead of being declined three times.

Domestic rates, not cross-border

Processing through a local acquirer on local rails costs far less than routing your market's payments through Europe.

The methods your customers use

mada, KNET, M-Pesa, GCash, QRIS and dozens more, alongside cards and Apple Pay.

A second acquirer on standby

We set up a backup before you need it, so an account freeze or a rate hike is an inconvenience, not a shutdown.

Rates we negotiate, not list prices

We bring acquirers volume across many merchants, so you're priced as part of a portfolio rather than as one small account.

One person through onboarding

A named contact who chases the bank's compliance team for you and answers within one business day.

Where we place business

Your business needs a registered entity in the market to get domestic rates. If you don't have one yet, tell us — we'll say what's involved before you spend anything.

What processing costs

These are the acquirer's fees, and they're what you pay. Oni-Pay is paid by the acquirer out of its own margin, so using us doesn't add a layer to your rate.

Your final rates depend on your market, your business type, your volume and your chargeback history. You'll see them in writing before you sign anything.

Apply for a merchant account

Tell us about your business. Within one business day you'll get the list of acquirers that will take you, with indicative rates, and a secure link to upload documents for the one you choose.

Have these ready

  • Trade licence or certificate of incorporation, plus articles of association
  • Passport or national ID for each director and anyone owning 25% or more
  • Bank account confirmation letter in the company's name
  • A live website with prices, terms, refund policy, privacy policy and contact details
  • Your last 3 to 6 months of processing statements, if you've taken card payments before

Some categories can't be placed, including gambling, adult content, crypto trading, forex and CFDs, weapons, and unlicensed financial or pharmaceutical sales. See the acceptable use policy.

Sending this doesn't commit you to anything. You'll see your rates before you sign.

Questions merchants ask before applying

Does Oni-Pay hold my money?

No. We're an independent sales organisation, not a payment institution. Your merchant agreement is with the acquiring bank, and the acquirer settles directly into your company's bank account. Your money never passes through us and we hold no licence to do so.

Then what does Oni-Pay charge me?

Nothing separate. Acquirers pay us a share of their own margin for bringing and managing merchants. You pay the rates in your agreement with the bank, and those rates are what you'd be quoted through us or better, because we're negotiating on portfolio volume rather than for one account.

Which countries can apply?

Businesses registered anywhere in Asia, the Middle East or Africa, with the markets listed above covered directly. If your country isn't listed, apply anyway — we'll tell you honestly whether we can place you.

Do I need a company registered in the market I sell to?

For domestic rates, usually yes. Without a local entity you can still be placed with a cross-border acquirer, but you'll pay more and some local payment methods won't be available. We'll say which applies to you before you commit to anything.

What if the acquirer declines me?

We go to the next one on your list, using what we learned from the first file. We only submit you to banks we expect to approve you, which is why the list comes before the paperwork.

Will I have a rolling reserve?

Some businesses do, usually newer ones, higher chargeback categories or long delivery times. If it applies, the percentage and release schedule are in your acquirer agreement before you sign.

Can I keep my current provider and add Oni-Pay?

Yes, and plenty of merchants do. Running a second acquirer alongside your existing one is the point: it gives you somewhere to route payments if the first account is frozen or its rates change.

What happens when a customer disputes a payment?

The chargeback appears in your dashboard with the reason code and the response deadline, and you upload evidence there. We'll tell you which evidence tends to win for that reason code in that market.

Is there a minimum term?

Oni-Pay doesn't lock you in. Your acquirer agreement sets its own notice period, typically 30 days, and we'll point it out before you sign rather than after.
